A few days in Hampshire
We went to visit my aunt in Hampshire for a few days and I had a great time visiting both the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection and the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. Both are places I would recommend for families to visit.
The Boscombe Down Aviation Collection was packed with different types of planes and helicopters. I really liked that you could climb inside the cockpits of many of these which gave a real sense of what it would be like to fly them. It looks quite a small place but is packed with exhibits and the staff were all very helpful.
Beaulieu in comparison seems quite big and is a huge collection of cars from different eras. I really liked the sports cars that were on display. As well as the car museum there is a Top Gear exhibit which is full of different vehicles used on the television show. It was a fun day looking round everything. We also drove down through the New Forest where there are lots of places to stop off and walk.
And as for the trains, well there is a small monorail train that runs around Beaulieu.
